Project Context

The CAMEL4MILK Project aims to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the camel milk value chain in southern Morocco to increase income and nutrition for participating communities. It promotes collaboration among producers, processors, distributors, and consumers. CAMEL4MILK supports small farmers through technological advances for efficient, sustainable, and high-quality milk production, and by fostering trade and cooperation. The project uses a multi-faceted strategy to strengthen the value chain, helping smallholders benefit from a growing market. By establishing feasibility, preparing for market adoption, analyzing consumer acceptance, and sharing results, CAMEL4MILK will demonstrate its benefits. The goal is to develop a self-sustaining local system based on local knowledge and heritage.
